Why Climb Kilimanjaro with us?

5 Days Marangu Route Kilimanjaro Climb

The 5 Days Marangu Route is one of the most popular Kilimanjaro climbs, known for its comfortable hut accommodations and gradual slope, making it ideal for first-time trekkers. Nicknamed the “Coca-Cola Route,” this itinerary provides a classic Kilimanjaro experience without camping, perfect for those who prefer indoor shelter over tents.

Starting from the Marangu Gate, this route takes you through lush rainforest, moorland, and alpine desert, culminating at Uhuru Peak — the highest point in Africa. Unlike other routes, Marangu offers round-trip hiking on the same trail, giving you a familiar descent path and a consistent acclimatization profile. However, because it’s a shorter itinerary, proper fitness and mental readiness are essential.

Our professional mountain guides are certified in high-altitude safety, and we maintain ethical porter treatment in line with KPAP standards, ensuring both client care and local welfare. As a locally owned Tanzanian operator, Eco-Africa Climbing is committed to sustainable and responsible tourism.

This package includes airport transfers, two hotel nights in Moshi, all park fees, meals, and hut accommodation on the mountain. You’ll be accompanied by experienced guides, a mountain chef, and a caring porter team.

Whether you’re a solo traveler, part of a group, or organizing a private expedition, the 5 Days Marangu Route is an affordable, scenic, and supportive way to reach Uhuru Peak.

habitats, cultural heritage sites, and communities. We actively promote environmental sustainability and social responsibility.
We are not doing cheap Climb, cheap climb means we are doing tourism while exploiting our Porters who are the ones who make Kilimanjaro trek possible for the vast majority of climbers, and who do all the heavy lifting. Fair and ethical treatment of our porters (crew) is one of the important priorities of Eco-Africa Climbing when we do climb. We are proud to be a Partner of the Kilimanjaro Porters Assistance Project (KPAP). Please contact ([email protected]) to confirm this.
KPAP raises public awareness regarding the proper treatment of porters on Kilimanjaro and assists climbing companies with implementing procedures that
ensure fair and ethical treatment of their porters. Every of our climb is audited by KPAP to ensure crewmembers are provided proper salaries, tips procedure, food, equipment and sleeping conditions.
