Your Life deposit is good for life!

The Lifetime Deposit policy allows you to save your initial deposit (one per person, per confirmed climb) for an unlimited time, be it ten weeks or ten years. We want to do the right thing for our travellers and ensure you can still take another climb if your plans have to change due to some circumstance, for example, travel restrictions, war, covid etc.

We have designed a Lifetime Deposit policy to provide flexibility to our customers while ensuring the smooth operation of our climb.

Please read the following policy details:

Initial Deposit

To secure your spot on the Kilimanjaro climb, an initial deposit of $300 per person is required at the time of booking.

This deposit is non-refundable but serves as a lifetime deposit for future climbs and safaris organized by our company.

Lifetime Deposit

The $300 deposit is a lifetime deposit tied to the individual who made the original booking.

If you need to cancel your climb, the deposit remains non-refundable, but you have the option to use it for a future climb or safari.

Group Bookings

For group bookings, each member is required to pay the $300 deposit individually to secure their spot.

If any member of the group decides to cancel their climb, their deposit remains non-refundable but can be used as a lifetime deposit for their future climbs or safaris.

Transfer and Use

The lifetime deposit is non-transferable to another individual. It must be used by the same person who initially made the booking.The deposit can be applied towards the cost of any future climb or safari organized by our company.

Booking Flexibility

Should you decide to use your lifetime deposit for a future climb or safari, please contact our booking team to make the necessary arrangements.

The deposit can be applied to a different type of tour (e.g., if you booked a climb initially but want to switch to a safari).

Expiration and Applicability

There is no expiration date for using the lifetime deposit. It can be utilized whenever you’re ready to book another adventure with us.

Additional Costs

The lifetime deposit is applicable to the climb cost and does not cover any potential price increases or additional costs that may arise in the future.

To utilize your lifetime deposit for a future tour, please inform us via our email  [email protected] as early as possible to ensure availability and proper arrangements.

WHEN YOU PAY THE FULL AMOUNT FOR YOUR CLIMB:

The full amount of the climb should be paid 60 days before your arrival date. Once you pay the full amount, the following cancellation policy will be applied:

• If you cancel more than 32 days before your trip, we will keep 25% of what you paid.
• If you cancel 8 to 32 days before your trip, we will keep 50% of what you paid.
• If you cancel 7 days or less before your trip, we will keep everything you paid.

Please note that in cases where bookings have been made for external services such as accommodation, the cancellation charges incurred are the responsibility of the client. It’s important to be aware of such external bookings when making a reservation with us. Cancellations must be communicated in writing via our email [email protected]

Note for clients who  will  climb  Kilimanjaro  with us:
You must purchase travel insurance that covers Medical Evacuation up to 6,000 meters, above sea level. It is very important that you ask and make sure your travel insurance company has included this in their final price.
